As most of you know, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York took place at the Lincoln Center last week! With “Press Week” in 1943, New York was the first city ever worldwide to host a fashion related event of this nature. Now, 70 years later, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York has become a must for everyone belonging to the fashion industry and is bigger than ever.
Apart from the 60 main shows of famous designers like our patron Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Diane von Fürstenberg or Betsey Johnson, there is also a lot more to do and see.
If you are among those who made their way to NYC for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York and have some extra days in the City, we have put together a few things you shouldn’t miss while visiting!
- Drinks at “Apotheke”, herb infused cocktails with interesting combinations like strawberry/fennel or cucumber/vanilla that are simply to die for. (http://www.apothekenyc.com/)
- Vintage Shopping at “A Second Chance”, a second-hand boutique that resells true icons like the classic Chanel Flap bag or Hermès scarves. (http://www.asecondchanceresale.com/)
- “Free Fashion Walking Tours” on September 16th, a tour that lets you explore the famous garment district – reservations are required! (http://www.fashioncenter.com/neighborhood/walking-tours)
- Brunch at “Balthazar” in SoHo, one of New Yorks best known restaurants that serves traditional bistro fare and is a must-see for a meal while visiting the city. (http://balthazarny.com/)
