Modefabriek, lookbooks and great plans for the future: Check out the Designer for Tomorrow’s latest adventures!

Alexandra Kiesel definitely hasn’t been resting on her laurels since her much acclaimed show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin: The Designer for Tomorrow 2011 winner went straight to Amsterdam to send her collection down the catwalk once again at Modefabriek!

Dutch designer trade show Modefabriek is a showcase of new trends, international renowned and avant-garde fashion talent. Alexandra presented her designs next to fellow Berlin labels “Hien Le” and “Issever Bahri” and
DfT finalist Jonathan Christopher Hofwegen.

Back in Berlin, Alexandra threw all clothes into her studio and left all fashion things behind for one weekend for some much needed chill-out time! While the impressions of the last couple of weeks were slowly sinking in, it didn’t take long until the first magazines were knocking on her door, asking for samples for fashion shootings.

Alexandra is now back working on a million things at the same time, creating her new lookbook and making great plans for the future of her business: „After all the press my collection got, I really wanted to produce something I could sell, so
I started out with some necklaces and belts from my winning collection, which soon will be available in selected stores and online. I’m planning to build my own label, but need to learn what it takes to create my own brand: How to set up a business plan, how will I finance everything… we’ll see where this is going!“
