Thank God for smartphones, magazines and books that kept the models backstage at the Designer for Tomorrow’s finalist show entertained! While eyebrows were taped and make-up artists applied thick layers of maquillage on perfect faces, anticipations were running high amongst the newcomer designers. Before the young design talents presented their creations on the show’s catwalk, it was time for the dress rehearsal. All finalists sent their models up and down for ultimate outfit and make-up checks before their big show started. Some shoes might not fit properly, but that’s everyday business for the professional runway models. They had been hired from international agencies all over the world to help the DfT finalists present their debut collections. In the buzzing backstage atmosphere, the models would always keep their cool. With five different collections in one show, it definitely was one of the busiest and most crammed backstage areas at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin!
