INTRODUCING OUR NEWCOMER TALENT AWARD:
‘DESIGNER FOR TOMORROW’ AN INITIATIVE BY PEEK & CLOPPENBURG DUESSELDORF!

ARE YOU THE NEW ‘DESIGNER FOR TOMORROW’?

Supporting young and rising designers in an ongoing way – this is the mission of the talent award ‘Designer for Tomorrow’. Initiated by Peek & Cloppenburg KG Duesseldorf in 2009, the award offers a platform for creativity and media perception. It creates a stepping stone for young designers looking to enter the fashion industry.

PATRON

A patron accompanies the entire process right from the outset of each award term. The current patron of ‘Designer for Tomorrow’ Marc Jacobs is known for his ability to create dramatic and coveted collections season after season and, as the fashion director of Louis Vuitton, he is one of the most influential designers in the world. On this path to success, he was also dependent on sponsorship and received several international young talent awards. His personal experience and the charisma he exudes for creative people is a real benefit for the fashion talent award ‘Designer for Tomorrow’.

PRIZE

The winner of the ‘Designer for Tomorrow’ award will present his or her own collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in January the following year.
The cost of the show’s entire production (slot, technology, models, styling, guest management, after-show reception, etc.), as well as the creation of the collection, will be covered by Peek & Cloppenburg KG Duesseldorf.
Furthermore, the winner will benefit from a tailor-made support program. This sponsorship program may involve: The financing of a work studio, a free participation in a trade fair, a PR & social media coaching, a coaching at Marc Jacobs Design Studio in Paris and New York, as well as a behind the scenes trip to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York.
Beyond that the Advisory Board, a group of leading industry experts, will exclusively train and assist the winner with industry advice.
